For a bit of visual fun and enjoyment, watch a video of our Kings Banquet It’s A Knockout game from our Silver Show. The team in relay collect the pieces of Kings Banquet Cake for his birthday and reassemble (Velcro together) it at the end of our Maze Inflatable obstacle. It’s a great fun game, bashing and weaving back and forth through the course collecting the pieces.
There is a lucky twist at the end where we ask two of the team members to lift the completed cake aloft and deliver it back down and over the Maze Inflatable to finish the game. However, this isn’t as easy as it seems as you’ll see at the end of the video.
We like this game as it’s not set that the fastest or fittest team will win when the end-twist of delivering the cake a-loft is played out.
The Kings Banquet is just one of the eight games on a standard Silver Show Knockout. Click here to visit the page dedicated to this set of games. Plus also see our Silver Show blog article from 2018 for more pictures and info.

Our It’s A Knockout inflatables don’t get a rest in the winter months (oh no!), they can also be used by charity’s as an exciting addition to their Charity Santa Run Events for Christmas 2018. We’d prefer the Santa Run Obstacles laid out in a concurrent straight line course as this helps us with our marshalling them for safety purposes. We can offer inflatable courses from just a 150 feet long to massive 300 feet long.
Colourful Inflatable Obstacles.
They add a great colourful and visual element to add to a Christmas charity fundraising Santa Run event. The Santa’s will enjoy running along, and bashing down, and climbing through the bouncy inflatables part of there charity run experience. We supply our own power generators, just give us a nice long grass area to lay the inflatables out on and we’ll do the rest.
We can also supply a PA sound system for the day to help you with the Santa Warm Up routine and for any event introductions, announcements and presentations.
To get an idea of the inflatables that we use for the courses, please see our Packages Page.
Please Contact Us and we’ll talk you through how it all works.
An “It’s A Knockout” isn’t just for the warmer summer months. We can also run the games for indoor events in the colder (or off season) months as well.
We still use usual mix of inflatables and dressing up games, the only noticeable difference being that in most cases (but not all) we can’t offer the water or bubble games of outdoor days.
This means that you can use one of our It’s A Knockout games packages for an indoor charity event, team building activity day or Christmas party, come rain or shine or coldness during those colder months.
Surprisingly, there are a variety of venues that are suitable for such days. Be it indoor sports venues, sports halls, leisure centres or even barns/warehouses! Some have even given us permission to use limited amounts of water meaning that we can still run our popular bubble-type games which everybody loves.
We are used to running our It’s A knockout games format on hard standing surfaces and in indoor venues so we have extra safety matting we can bring along to make sure any trips or falls have as less of an impact as possible.
An indoor knockout games can be used for small charity events, schools, colleges, universities, team building and employee reward days, Autumn/Winter parties and yes, Christmas Parties.
Please Contact Us if you need any help sourcing a venue for an indoor event, or if you need further details, PDF games lists or just have some questions about an indoor It’s A Knockout day. The games we use though for indoor events tend to be versions of our Mini Knockout or Bronze Show because of the size restraints and height of venues.

In 2018 we’ve seen some great fancy dressed teams at our It’s A Knockout events up and down the UK. So we thought it would be ideal to share and highlight some of these with a 2018 Fancy Dressed teams web-blog. You’ll see from the brief selection of images here that some teams just turn up with as simple as a colour coordinated T-shirt affair, but many really go wayyyyyyy past this and really get into the fun spirit of It’s A Knockout and “go to town”.
Fancy Dressed Teams !
A popular theme for teams nowadays seems to be Justice League or Super Heroes, this is easily achieved by a quick trip to eBay or Amazon. We look it when teams use a play on words which coincides with their teams makeup. A team of nurses dressed as Elves = National Elf Service (brilliant!). The three images above are “Rock Stars” (with various rock t-shirts), Going Banana’s (Minions) and then a construction company’s team at a charity event simply wearing their high-vis shirts.
If you are a team taking part in one of our It’s A Knockout events, there are some more great examples of fancy dress in the Blog Fancy Dressed Charity Its A Knockout Teams 2017 and Some Fancy Dress Costume Ideas for Its A Knockout Teams
Also remember, we give extra bonus “Fun Points” for teams that are in fancy dress. So get creating now ! Plus there are bonus points for designing and bringing your own Joker Card and a team mascot. We also suggest that teams bring their own gazebo to use as an HQ. This gives a place for a team to place all their effects etc for the day, and yes, bonus points for the best dressed team gazebo.
Keep your eyes open for a Fancy Dressed Teams web-blog Part 2 and Team Gazebo’s Blog as well.

In this Blog we spotlight some of the great new games and changes to The Silver Show 2018 It’s A Knockout that we’ve introduced for this season.
The Silver Show 2018 as a standard package has eight great games, is about half the size of a football pitch and covers up to 18 teams taking part. Six of these games use inflatable obstacles that are ran, climbed, squeezed, bashed or slid down making it an ideal set of games if you’re after a WOW-factor for your day. Just to balance the six inflatable games off, the Silver Show also has two slower team-type together games to add a bit of team building into the day’s fun and laughter.
With great games such as our re-vamped dressing up sumo suit game “Off To the Beach” game, to the Kings Banquet, Pac Man and Kitchen Kaos, right up to the finale Game 8, the brilliant “Pea Soup” Bubble Pit Game, the Silver Show sets an impressive arena sight of inflatables, games, costumes and props.
The Silver Show is also available in a ten game version for even more fun-fun-fun!!!!
The Silver Show for Schools.
We also have kids versions of the Silver Show games for schools, scouts, cubs, guides and youth days. These have had updates and changes for 2018 as well. The new inflatables and tweaks make it an even better set of games then ever. Year-on-year more schools are realising that one of our It’s A Knockout’s are a great adrenaline way to keep a year group (or even the whole school) active. For more information please see our Schools & Youth Knockouts page or Contact Us for details.
As with all our sets of games. Ever one, in every team, takes part in every game. NO ONE IS LEFT OUT !
Teams are invited to join us on Sunday 29th July at Featherstone Rovers RFC near Pontefract for a Charity Fundraising Event Pontefract in aid of Parkinson’s UK and MacMillan Cancer Support. The day runs from 12 till 4pm and there will a lot to do and see apart from the It’s A knockout in the middle of the day including sideshows, attractions and refreshments.
Charity Fundraising Event
Last years charity fundraising day was a great success as you can see form the images here on this page, and this year it is hoped the event will be a bigger and better day, with lots of fundraising for these two great causes.
It’s A Knockout.
The general public are invited to enter teams into the It’s A Knockout event that will be taking place on the day. Teams should ideally be between 8 and 10 people in size and you’ll be guaranteed a great day of games and fun on our obstacles all for a good cause. To get an idea of the games that will be present on the day please see our Bronze Show page for details. Colourful inflatables obstacles, dressing up games, wet games, dry games, team games, relay games. If you can’t get a team together but would like to take part, we may be able to match you up with similar people to make an add-hock mixed team.
So, whether you can get a team together for Sunday 29th July or just want to come down and enjoy the atmosphere for a nice day out with the family, we’d be glad to see you there. Also, please contact us if you’d like to help out on the day as a volunteer. All help gratefully received!
Please see Contact Us for more details of the day or if you want to enter a team.
In this Blog we’ll answering some of the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s) that teams tend to ask quite often about taking part in one of our It’s A Knockout’s. You may have been directed to this page by a charity event organiser to help them inform you of your up-and-coming Knockout day with us.
Hopefully in a logical order here are the Frequently Asked Questions we get asked.
How many people should a team consist of?
Our games are designed for teams of around ten people each. If there is ten in your team, then everyone in the team can take part in every game if they choose to. No one is forced to take part. If you have less than ten, then this is okay, but some people may have to have two “goes” on a game. We prefer mixed teams as they tend to be more “fun”.
What should we wear?
It’s best to wear something easy to move around in as you’ll be doing games that will involve inflatable obstacles. We encourage the teams to come in fancy dress as it adds extra fun into the day (and helps us identify the teams as well). However, no sharp edges please (Pirate themed teams take note!) and everyone must wear trainer type footwear on the games, no crocs, flip-flops or sandals. For ideas on fancy dress please read our Blog’s from 2017 Charity It’s A Knockout Teams 2017 and Fancy Dressed Charity It’s A Knockout Teams 2017
Can we get an idea of what the games involve?
We have different games on the sets of It’s A Knockout games. The actual games will depend on the set that the organiser has arranged. A game might involve one at a time the team collecting items through an inflatable obstacle, in which case the fastest collective time gets the most points. Or maybe the team have to transport something down a course with dropping it. To get a general idea of the games please visit our YouTube page to see some of the games in action. There are no hitting each other games or one-on-one games, it’s very much a team effort in a fun games.
What do we need to bring?
There will probably be refreshments available on the day but you may wish to bring your own. Bring a towel or change of clothes as you will get wet on the games. And bring some supporters to cheer you on!
What does Playing Your Joker mean?
On one game you can “play a Joker”. You can choose a game to get awarded double points on. At the beginning of the day we’ll explain the games you can do this on. Obviously you’ll choose the game that suits your team the best. On this game you’ll get double-points no matter what score you get. We also award bonus points if you’ve designed and brought your own Joker Card. Many teams will get together before the day and get creating with the glue, glitter and streamers to do this.
What about a Team Gazebo?
Bringing a gazebo for your teams HQ is a good idea (check with the charity organiser). Having a team HQ gazebo give you somewhere to place you effects and bits-and-bobs and also acts as a shelter form the weather (sun and rain). Once more… BONUS POINTS available for a nicely decorated gazebo.
What time should we arrive?
Ideally an hour before the games start. Allow extra time if you’re erecting a team gazebo. Sometimes days can get busy with lots of people trying to park, unloading and getting themselves sorted for the day. Better to be early and soak up the day than arrive late and miss out on some of it. Some teams have been known to arrive early to probe us for insider information about the games to get an edge on the others.
What happens if it rains?
You get wet !!! Even on a dry sunny day, you’ll get wet !!! There’s no difference.
Please let us know if you are a charity organiser and have some other Frequently Asked Questions you think should be added to the above.
The public are invited to enter teams into a charity fundraising event being held in aid of the Catherine McEwan Foundation on Saturday 12th May 2018 at the GHA Rugby Club in Giffnock, Glasgow. There’ll be lots to see and do on the day, even if you’re just a spectator attending the day just to cheer on the teams and support the charity.
If you’d like to enter a team into the It’s A Knockout games, please Contact Us for details and we’ll pass them onto the event organiser. Teams should ideally have up to 10 members in them and as in all our knockout’s, everyone, in every team, can take part in every game if they want to. The games will be from our Silver Show. As usual, we’ll also be awarding some bonus points for teams that come in funny fancy dress attire, so get creative and have some fun thinking up an apt theme for your team. Read through some of our other Blogs if you want some fancy dress ideas. A good starting point being Some Fancy Dress Costume Ideas for Its A Knockout Teams
Also, remember teams that you get to play a ‘Joker’ on one game (which will get you double points on that game), so if you’ve also designed and brought your own Joker Card you’ll get even more bonus points. So get some friends together and enter a team into this great event for a great local charity.
The day starts at 12.00 midday. There will also be refreshments, sideshows, bouncy castles for the kids and other attractions.
If you can’t make the date, but would like to enter a team into one of our charity events, then we more that are listed on our Public Events page of the website.
The general public are invited to enter teams into the Friend’s of ANCHOR charity It’s A Knockout event in Aberdeen. As usual, the event is being held over two days at Hazlehead Park in Aberdeen on Saturday the 18th and Sunday 19th August 2018.
‘ANCHOR’ stands for Aberdeen and North Centre for Haematology, Oncology and Radiotherapy. The ANCHOR Unit covers the dedicated wards and clinics within Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for oncology and haematology patients.
Previous years have been a great success for the charity and we’ve always been blessed with great and fun teams who turn up in sometimes amazing and creative fancy dress, bringing mascots, joker boards and supporters. As usual, there will be lots going on that day including side shows, refreshments, local stalls and amusements. So even if you can’t enter a team, please come and visit the event to support a great worthwhile local cause.
This years games are from our twelve game Gold Show It’s A knockout once more. We’ve got some new games in the mix this year including Kitchen Kaos, Pac Man and a new Bubble Pit, so even if you’ve entered a team into previous events, you’re sure to repeat the fun again in 2018.
So, why not get some friends together, family, workmates or colleagues and enter a team into this great charity event and we’ll se you there! Teams can be from 6 to 10 in number. A team can have more than ten members, but we can’t then guarantee that everyone will get a go on every game. Teams will be required to gain sponsorship to take part. The money going to the Friend’s of Anchor charity.
