FORCE (Friends of the Oncology and Radiotherapy Centre, Exeter) supports cancer patients and fund-raises tirelessly to ensure that anyone diagnosed with cancer gets the best possible support and treatment close to home.

Powderham Castle, on the banks of the Exe is situated in a beautiful ancient woodland with stunning views across to the Exe Estuary. Just 7 miles from Exeter this country setting is one of the most picturesque settings for a Knockout Challenge.

We hope you will join us for Its a Knockout Exeter! This promises to be a great event – a fun day out and raising funds for a truly worthwhile cause.

If you have a charity and you’d like to host a Knockout Challenge please give us a call on 01245 328221– we’ll make one to suit you!

Its A Knockout Aberdeen

The Aberdeen and North Centre for Haematology, Oncology and Radiotherapy is a bit of a mouthful, that’s why it’s better known as ANCHOR. ANCHOR is a department at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary which treats patients with all forms of cancer, leukaemia and benign blood disorders throughout the North-east of Scotland including Orkney and Shetland.

ANCHOR needs constant investment in technology and research to provide the best possible outcome for cancer diagnosis and treatment – this is where Friends of Anchor comes in.

Friends of ANCHOR was set up to raise funds for the ANCHOR unit to fund the following:

  • Non-NHS funded equipment – ongoing investment in new equipment
  • Patient wellbeing – Funding to provide additional support to patients during this difficult time
  • Local research – Funding cancer research in Aberdeen

How Do Friends of Anchor raise funds?

Well, this is where you come in! Friends of Anchor work tirelessly to find ways to make their fundraising fun and rewarding, and Anchor Wipeout certainly achieves that!

ANCHOR Wipeout Challenge – Aberdeen 22 & 23 August 2015 Hazlehead Park

Join 100s of other challengers for a day of wet and wild fun ! All you need to do is get a team together, pay £200 entry fee (for a team of up to 10 people), turn up on the day and have as much fun as possible! Spectators are welcome, and there will be plenty to keep them entertained – food stalls, bouncy castles, face painting etc – as well as watching the Wipeout antics.

Come on, a day out in the fresh air, fundraising for a wonderfully worthwhile cause, time spent with family and friends, and a lot of laughs along the way. How can you refuse?

Can Charities Really Make Money from a Knockout Challenge?

Can Charities Really Make Money from a Knockout Challenge?

Well, obviously we think they can!

Charities are finding it more and more difficult to raise funds in this difficult economic climate, and it can be heartbreaking to put huge amounts of time, effort and even money for very little return.
